Over the years I’ve resolved many different types of home repair issues virtually with our co-founder Nick Stoykov. One thing that I have learned, is that every Do It Yourselfer needs a reliable set of basic tools. Considering that the average cost of a home visit from an electrician or plumber is approximately $250, the cost of these basic tools would pay for themselves after completing a few Virtualhand sessions.

For price conscious consumers, local flea markets are a good place to start to obtain good used, quality basic tools. Classified advertisement websites such as Craigslist also have sections devoted to tools for sale. Tools can also be purchased on electronic commerce sites such as Amazon and EBay, and of course online and in person at the main home improvement chains such as Home Depot and Lowe’s.
