Over the years I’ve resolved many different types of home repair issues virtually with our co-founder Nick Stoykov. One thing that I have learned, is that every Do It Yourselfer needs a reliable set of basic tools. Considering that the average cost of a home visit from an electrician or plumber is approximately $250, the cost of these basic tools would pay for themselves after completing a few Virtualhand sessions.
The concept of Virtualhand is to empower home owners, and anybody really, who wants to learn to resolve their home repair issues, therefore, I’ve listed some of the more common tools needed for most do it yourself jobs. You don’t have to spend a fortune, but at the same time, you want to have good quality tools that will last. For price conscious consumers, local flea markets are a good place to start to obtain good used, quality basic tools. Classified advertisement websites such as Craigslist also have sections devoted to tools for sale. Tools can also be purchased on electronic commerce sites such as Amazon and EBay, and of course online and in person at the main home improvement chains such as Home Depot and Lowe’s.
